The Wellesley John D. Hardy Elementary School serves grades K-5, with “neighborhood” pods for each grade including three classrooms and a central learning space. This net zero ready, all electric building was designed and built with sustainability in mind.  Several of the features incorporate the surrounding neighborhood and draw nature into the space.  The new extensive drop off/pick up loop will help alleviate the former traffic issues experienced on the surrounding roads.  The Hardy Elementary school opened its doors to students and staff for the first day of school following the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on August 28, 2024.  The phase 2 operations are underway and will provide an accessible playground and play fields for the new school by the end of the year.
